William L Martin

Bill received a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the University of Virginia, a Master in Business Administration from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Florida State University College of Law. Following law school, Bill clerked for the Honorable Lacey A. Collier, Federal District Court Judge for the Northern District of Florida.  After clerking for Judge Collier, Bill practiced law in New York City with Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP, in the area of complex securities litigation and corporate governance. After returning to Florida, Bill practiced law in the areas of land use, construction, commercial litigation, property foreclosure, partnership, and bankruptcy before accepting a position with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation as a Senior Attorney in the Professional Liability and Financial Crimes Section.

Bill is a member of the Florida and New York Bars.  He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida, U.S. District Courts in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York., Tax Court, and Merit System Protection Board.  Bill is also member of the Florida Bar Military Affairs Committee.
